Did’ya ever see Crocodiles dancin’ on Rainbows? Imagine through the eyes of a five year old that anything is possible. Come experience the songs I sing, inspired by my grand daughter Kayla. I got the idea when she was riding in the back seat of my car, and she’d sing along to tunes. She’d say “again grandma”, trying to learn all the words. I chose familiar tunes, from fairy tales, Broadway and great American composers about wishes, dreams, rainbows, magic and celebrations.
I have reunited with my friend, the talented pianist and arranger John Brainard to write two songs and create arrangements whimsical yet sophisticated enough that you as a parent or grandparent would enjoy them as well. Twenty five years ago I put my dream on hold after turning down a lucrative offer for a recording contract to raise my two sons. Today I resurrect that dream with this album and the belief that it is never too late to do what you love. My hope is to provide enjoyment and inspiration to children of all ages to pursue their dreams. Enjoy! Kathy Williams
